WSPBuilder Extensions Released

leave a comment »

Late last year I tried out VSeWSS 1.1, found it completely useless and started building a better toolset for developing SharePoint solutions. Using Carsten Keutmann’s WSPBuilder command line tool as a base, I put together a set of Visual Studio templates, add-in commands and build tasks that make creating common types of features much less painful without stopping you from creating more complex features if you need to.

The end result of that, WSPBuilder Extensions 1.0, is now properly integrated with the core WSPBuilder project and available on CodePlex.

I have some more details that I’ll post when I get time, but for now Carsten has some screenshots with the announcement on his blog which give a fairly clear view of how it all fits together.
